ARKANSAS BELL TO BELL, NO CELL ACT- COMING IN THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Emerson-Taylor-Bradley Public Schools

July 15, 2025

Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Arkansas law—The Bell to Bell, No Cell Act—requires schools to strictly limit student use of personal electronic devices during the school day. This applies to cell phones, tablets, laptops, smart watches, and other personal electronic devices.

If students bring these items to school, they will be expected to keep them turned off and put away for the entire school day—from the first bell to the last.

We are updating our district policy to align with this new law and will share full details with families soon. We encourage parents to begin preparing students now so that this change doesn’t come as a surprise in August.

Thank you for partnering with us to support a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
